Provides employers with funds to train currently employed workers in an effort to keep their businesses and workers competitive.



Quick Response Training Program

Provides grants to businesses creating new, high-skills/high-wage jobs that require customized entry-level training.

Online portal to virtual job matching services and other workforce resources.




One-Stop Career Centers

The Agency for Workforce Innovation operates one-stop centers across the state that brings together workforce training and employment services to businesses.




On-the-Job Training

OJT teaches primary and secondary skills required by a job and essential to the full and adequate performance of the job while working at the employer's worksite. Under this program, the employer is usually reimbursed a portion of the wages paid to the trainee for the extraordinary costs associated with training a new employee who did not originally meet skill expectations.




Recruitment Assistance and Job Fairs

Simplifying the time-consuming and costly employee recruitment process, this program locates and screens qualified applicants, conducts skill assessments specified by the employer and may even provide facilities for interviewing. For sizable recruitments, a job fair may be coordinated.
