The BDBMC maintains strategic partnerships and close relationships with organizations that support our mission. These partnerships begin with local organizations and extend to regional, state-wide and federal agencies and allow us to quickly respond to the needs of or existing and prospective businesses.


Small Business Development Center

The BDBMC, in partnership with Indian River State College (IRSC), ensured a dedicated presence of the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) in Martin County. The SBDC is a resource of the U.S. Small Business Administration and member of the state-wide network of centers. The SBDC provides one-on-one counseling in a variety of topics including business plan development, general management, funding resources, financial planning, acquisition and liquidations, recordkeeping, marketing and sales.

Easily locate local, regional, state and global resources for starting, relocating,or expanding your business.


Martin County Industrial Development Authority (MCIDA)

The MCIDA provides access to tax exempt and taxable bond financing as an inducement to local, qualified companies.


Business Roundtables

The BDBMC hosts targeted business roundtables for Martin County businesses. The Export Roundtable, Innovators Roundtable, CEO Roundtable and Marine/Aviation Roundtable are guided by targeted business leaders and provide excellent opportunities to network and influence business development initiatives for your benefit.


Local Governments 

The BDBMC acts as a business advocate with elected officials and employees of the County and city throughout the County Administrator's office, Growth Management, Planning & Zoning, Engineering, Public Works and other departments.
