Tim Dougher has more than 15 years of Economic Development experience and currently serves as Executive Director for the Business Development Board of Martin County (BDBMC).


Tim is a native Floridian who graduated from The University of Missouri-Columbia, where he led the Division 1 Swim Team for four years and was honored MVP for three years. He began his career in marketing at The Palm Beach County Convention and Visitors Bureau followed by 6 ½ years as Vice President of Business Recruitment, Retention and Expansion at the Business Development Board of Palm Beach County. Tim was part of the Scripps Florida recruitment team for Palm Beach County which led to the emerging Life Sciences Cluster in Florida. Most recently Tim was the Business Development Division Manager for the City of Orlando. While in Orlando, Tim worked closely with the Burnham Research Institute's relocation as well as marketing the newly developed Medical City at Lake Nona.


Tim is a member of Enterprise Florida's Stakeholders Council, a Board Member of the Florida Research Coast Economic Development Coalition (FRCEDC) and a member of the  Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) Committee which includes Martin, Palm Beach, St. Lucie and Indian River Counties.
